Tomatis® method for adults
The Tomatis® Method helps to regulate emotional disorders related to depression and anxiety. It acts directly in a non-invasive way on the regulation of the parasympathetic nervous system (relaxation). In addition, it helps to stimulate memory and concentration, to give cortical energy or to strengthen balance.

Tomatis® by Céline Azou
A pedagogue at heart, Céline Azou was drawn to this method following a chance meeting with a mother impressed by the benefits of Tomatis® on her son who had concentration problems. After having tested it on her own children, Céline Azou became a Tomatis® practitioner and quite naturally chose to add this method to her offer of soft pedagogies dispensed at La Fabrique Cognitive in Sceaux.
Developed in 1953 by Alfred Tomatis, a French doctor specializing in otolaryngology, the Tomatis® method is a method based on the link between the ear and the voice.
It uses the three functions of this organ which are balance, dynamization and hearing, in order to allow the body to regain its verticality, to energize the brain and the body, and to refocus attention and memorization.
The Tomatis® method brings together a set of educational tools that stimulate the brain so that it regains or develops its analytical, concentration and communication skills through music and the voice.
Based on a preliminary interview, your practitioner establishes a personalized listening program according to the objective set or your problem.
This method is suitable for children from 3 years old as well as adults. It can be provided alone, or in addition to orthopedagogical follow-up by Céline Azou.

Tomatis® method for children
The Tomatis® Method improves concentration, attention and language. The restlessness of some children is often a sign of discomfort. In order to protect themselves, they close their monitoring. The Tomatis® method allows them to calm down and reopen their listening skills in order to communicate better. It helps to overcome learning disabilities by acting directly on brain plasticity.
It is very suitable for children from an early age.

How does the Tomatis® method work?
“We can hear well and listen badly” Alfred Tomatis
The Tomatis® Method uses a device called TalksUp which contains your personalized listening program.
A listening program lasts about 14 days.
So you listen every day at home 40 to 80 minutes mainly Mozart music filtered and modified in the laboratory.
This music is transmitted by the headphones in air conduction and in bone conduction by a transmitter located on the top of the helmet.
You perceive sound contrasts that modify the timbre and intensity of the music while maintaining the rhythm and intensity of the music.
These contrasts: alternation of low frequencies and high frequencies have the effect of stimulating the inner ear in its entirety, both auditory and motor.
In addition, the musical treatment of the Tomatis® Method promotes the transmission of high-pitched sounds that are particularly effective in stimulating the brain.
Thus the listening programs modify the music to capture the attention of the brain and develop your motor, emotional and cognitive faculties.
The cognitive factory is duly licensed by TOMATIS DEVELOPPEMENT SA which owns TOMATIS, TOMATIS + LOGO, SOLISTEN, TALKSUP Brands www.tomatis.com.
